Shell Cordovan is perhaps the most famous leather in the world, an equine leather that takes 6 months to create in a process involving hundreds of steps. Chicago's world famous Horween tannery is one of only a handful of places in the world where Shell Cordovan is made, using same methods handed down for over a century.
The leather on these sheaths is thinner than our regular sheaths (which are designed for both carbon fiber and the heavier metal combs). These sheaths are very durable and pair well with the lightweight carbon fiber comb.
